Objective: Students will apply knowledge gained on inventory and cost of goods to manage an online coffee shop. By creating a table to collect data students will reflect on their spending and pricing choices.
ACTIVITY 1: Coffee Shop Game
Similar to the Lemonade Stand Game this Coffee shop will ask you to manage materials and pricing for a period of time. The name of the game is PROFIT
PROFIT = TOTAL REVENUE - COST OF GOODS Start playing and get familiar with the game. Once you have the hang of you will need to create a table in MICROSOFT WORD similar to the lemonade stand. You can choose what categories you feel are important to document. Example: Cups purchased Cups Sold Coffee purchased Table Spoons per Cup Milk, Sugar... etc. BE SURE TO INCLUDE: TOTAL INCOME / TOTAL EXPENSE / PROFIT |
